Native Speaker Days 2024
On the first day …
From the 11th to the 13th of September 2024 a team of native speakers came to our school. At first we were divided into groups. Then we met Marnie from Australia. She introduced herself and we played a getting-to-know-you-game.
Another exciting game was the Australian Quiz we played afterwards. At last we met the other native speakers. We talked with them about their lives. That was the first day.
On the second day …
We spent the second day with all of the native speakers: With Marnie we drew each other. With Emmy we wrote a story. With Sarah we handcrafted Halloween masks. And with Imogene we played movement games. That was the second day.
And on the third day …
On the last day, we wrote a horror story. To get inspiration, we went to a cemetery. Afterwards, we finished our stories. Then we said goodbye to our new friends and everybody went home.
For me the native speaker days were fun and very exciting and I’ve got the impression that most of the other students felt so, too. I usually don’t speak so much English in my free time as I did during those three days. I hope we’ll do something like that again!
